4th of July

The weather was HOT this 4th of July!!!! In the morning we went to the parade in Darien and Aiden and Carter both were sweaty messes by the time we stepped out of the car. Aiden said his favorite part of the parade was the fire trucks and motorcycles, and Carter enjoyed wiggling and dancing to the music the band played. After the parade was a quick naptime for the boys and then it was PARTY time! Most of the party people were either inside the house or in the pool. I'm so glad this is a summer when we can actually use it :) Ryan decided not to buy fireworks this year due to the dry conditions, so we were able to enjoy the multiple neighbors' shows from inside the pool :) I'm so glad I didn't have to work the next day

June 3, 2012- Cavalcade of Planes in Bolingbrook

Since I have heard such great things about it, and Aiden is REALLY into things in the sky, we decided to go check out the Cavalcade of Planes in Bolingbrook. To say Aiden was impressed would be an understatement. We met my parents and Jes and Justin there and walked all around. Aiden was a little timid to sit in any of the planes by himself, but definitely enjoyed watching them take off and land. My dad decided to treat himself to an early Father's day present of riding in the open air airplane (I know it had a name, but I forgot- shocking) Below are some of the pictures to highlight our day.

June 5, 2012- I'm back...

I suck at blogging I know! Being a mom of two I don't have a lot of free time of my own, especially since I just finished coaching track, my computer was out of commission for two months, and my memory is SHOT.
But who cares about ALL of my excuses, because I AM ON SUMMER BREAK NOW and I have nothing planned except to enjoy my little boys :) (yes I am smiling as I am typing too- I'm a nerd)
So much has happened that there really is no point in playing catch up, so I'll just post as I can now :)

Ryan is working the day shift since they are on summer hours so I love having him home at night, and so do the boys. During the school year, it kind of feels like we are single parents :( He gets them in the morning and I get them at night. (thank you economy) Anyways in the past week, we have already enjoyed many walks to the park, bike rides, jogging with my NEW double jogger, and who can forget rollerblading (finally had a reason to take them out of my car). I have tons of pictures to put up, but like I said my computer was out of commision for two months, so I just finished downloading 686 photos. I cannot even remember what half of them are. Alright so for those of your dying to know what we have been up too and hear updates on each of these boys, I'll have to keep you in suspense for a few more days as I finish organizing and getting these pictures posted
Sorry :)

October 31, 2011- HAPPY HALLOWEEN

One of the best parts of today was that it was an institute day, which meant I would definitely get out of work on time :) I picked the boys up from Ms. Erin's (who made a nice little treat bag for each of the boys). Good thing her daughter has such a positive influence on Aiden, because he could not WAIT to get home and carry his pumpkin around ;) I told him he could not have any candy until he put on his costume and as soon as I siad that he was all for that!!! He was the dinosaur and Carter was a pumpkin (both hand me down costumes, so definitely budget friendly and adorably warm) Aiden loved handing out the candy to our trick or treaters and also loved watching them from across the street while I fed Carter.  Once we got out, he did great. He went to each of the doors and pushed the doorbell (his favorite part) and held out his pumpkin. Once the treat got in it, he said DANKS and moved on. To move the process a little faster I let him ride his powerwheels motorcycle I mean how cute is a Dino on the go :) Then it was home to enjoy some lasagna, salad and garlic bread (a halloween tradition that my mom and her friend started when we were kids)
