As the clock ticked Tuesday, all I could think about was getting out of school as fast as possible. I have so much to get done in the next couple days, I can't even think of where to start. Tonight was the first time since Aiden was born that I went to get my haircut (6 inches). I was so thankful that Auntie Megan wanted to spend some quality time with Aiden.
Wednesday- A day off- FINALLY!!!
Aiden and I went to my parents and had Jimmy Johns for lunch with Auntie Abby, Auntie Jes, Glamma and G-Mac. Then we did some errands to get ready for the arrival of all the other aunties :)
Thursday- THANKSGIVING
This year has been so wonderful and we have so many reasons to be Thankful! We started the day by taking a nice morning nap ;) We then stopped by Ryan's aunt's house to say hi to the family and then we headed to my Grandma's house for Thanksgiving dinner. Aiden loved the turkey, sweet potatoes, and of course the ROLLS... He is such a piggy when it comes to feeding himself. He loves picking up the food and then shoving his whole hand in his mouth. For dessert my dad tried giving him cheesecake, but he wasn't too fond of it, so instead he settled for the crust of the lemon squares.
Friday- Wait no I never even went to sleep from Thursday. When we got home at 11:30pm, I headed to Wal-mart to try to get a laptop, TV and a few other small items. Unsuccessful at the big items, and I must say a very disappointing start to the night. Walmart let customers start filling their carts at 8:00pm... HELLO why are they called black Friday deals then??? (morons- please lets not bring this up again) I met up with Diane and Megan and we ventured off to the mall to see what the craze at Aeropostle was (just as suspected NOTHING). We had a lot of time to kill now since Kohl's didn't open until 3am, so we went to Dunkin Donuts and hung out with all the other crazy people who were up at that time. We got to Kohl's at 2:30am and stood in line in the cold until the doors opened. I knew we would have to be fast when we got inside since the lines always end up getting crazy to check out (I think the key word might be CRAZY in this story). I bee-lined for the items that I wanted and as Megan would say I was very stealth like when I moved through the clothes and cut off the rest of the people who took the normal store aisles. I was successful and we got out of there at 3:07am. We headed to Target to try again for a TV and a few other items that Megan was looking for. When we got there, the line was already SUPER long, so I knew it would be next to impossible to get our hands on the TV. When we entered the store I was two people away from grabbing the TV, ugh disappointment set in. Now I have been up for how many hours, this stunk :( Megan was able to get all of her items and a few more, so all in all not too bad. After target we went onto our next location Macy's and Carson's and whatever other stores in the mall that were now open. After the mall we headed to Menards for the annual candle sale (this is basically all Diane goes out on black Friday for). Time for a nap while Diane and Megan ran into Ulta. This was also the point at which I labeled myself CRAZY for being out here all night. How in the heck would I be able to function today and take care of Aiden? (good thing for my wonderful husband) We then proceeded to IKEA for the free breakfast and realized that it didn't open for another half hour, so we went to IHOP instead. Ryan and Aiden met us at IHOP with smiles plastered on their faces from their full nights of sleep :) After breakfast Ryan, Aiden and myself went to cut down the Christmas tree. Ryan brought the collapsible wagon but forgot the handle, so I carried the wagon through the tree farm.

When we got home I helped Ryan get the tree into water and then passed out on the floor while playing with Aiden... He loved crawling over me as if I were a mountain! That night we went to my parents to hang out with all the Aunties who were still in town. Needless to say I think I was falling asleep at the table while playing LCR so we left kinda early...
Saturday we laid low in the morning and then headed to my parents to celebrate Ashley's birthday and go downtown to see the lights. Aiden opened/played with his first Christmas present from Auntie Ashley.

Sunday- another day of eating... My mom cooked us another Thanksgiving meal so everyone would be able to have leftovers to take back and so we could spend our last day together as a FAMILY :) After lunch/dinner/don't need to eat for 10 days after, everyone started packing and getting ready to venture off back to the real world. The rest of us watched the Bears take on the Eagles and defeat them... What a great way to end the perfect weekend :)
