December 17-21- Minnesota Here We Come!!!

We set off on our adventure around 10pm, to ensure Aiden would sleep during the car ride! We got Minnesota around 4:30am and used the shopping carts to get all of our belongings into Sarah and Steve humble abode!!! I'm sure Aiden was confused as to why he was riding a shopping cart into someones house, but whoever came up with the idea saved all those people many trips from their cars! We went to bed after unloading all our stuff and woke up around 9am... We went to the 5-8 diner? and enjoyed a Juicy Lucy (burger from Man v Food) for lunch. Aiden loved the french fries and also loved drinking water from a straw. After lunch we went to the art museum in hopes of seeing some carolers, but got there just in time to hear their last song. We saw many cool things and Ryan only set off one alarm (he got too close to the car) Saturday night we stayed in and order Mexican for dinner!
Sunday we picked Jes up from the airport and then headed to Mall of America!!! Holy Shoppers. Aiden did really well at the mall. He loved seeing all the hanging ornaments in the air and loved looking at LegoLand as well.

Later that night we went to the Winter Wonderland Parade and watched most of it from the second story of Target since it was soooo FRIGID out and Aiden was sleeping! When we got back to our car some man stopped and told us that Jay Cutler and Greg Olsen just walked into the Capital Grille... We saw them standing in the lobby so my dad went to go say hello and Jay walked away to the back of the restaurant :(
We went to the Spaghetti Warehouse and enjoyed a wonderful dinner before turning in for the night.
Monday finally arrived. Ryan and Sarah went to pick Wes up at the airport, while my dad and Steve had to work. Jes, my mom, Aiden and I all bummed around the condo waiting for them to get back so we could start our tailgate!!! We enjoyed Jimmy Johns for lunch and then Sarah started preparing all the food for our indoor tailgate. We had wings, chili, fondue, dips, chips, much more and of course lots of beverages. When it was time to get ready we decided that we would walk to the stadium (2.8 miles away) because traffic getting over the bridge looked HORRENDOUS!!! My mom and Aiden stayed back at the condo to watch the game, since it was too cold for him to go to the game (man I owe her big time) We started our walk and didn't realize how hard it was going to be to walk in the snow that had not been shoveled yet for the day

When we arrived at the stadium they were passing out wristbands based on the type of ticket you had purchased... People with purple bands were allowed to sit down low and the red wristbands had to go up top ( we were red) We saw how empty the lower part was and tried to walk pass the usher. He stopped us and asked what color bands we had and my dad told him red. He told us we had to go upstairs, but then I told him when you take the red bands and mix it with blue (color of the bears) it makes purple, so we are sitting down here... He looked confused so we walked past :)  We sat on the 30 yard line about 23 rows up (perfect seats) We had a great time and the boys finished all of their bottles of whiskey (barf), and we got to sing the fight song a lot of time. The Vikings fans loved it!!!

We left Minnesota around 10am on Tuesday and Aiden was such a TROOPER in the car. My mom and Jes entertained him with their phones while he was awake, but other than that he took some pretty solid naps on the way home :)
