December 23-27, 2010- Aiden's 1st Christmas is a blur

OH MY GOSH!!! My motherhood was tested when Aiden awoke me in the middle of the night throwing up... He vomited about 4-5 times after that. We went through so many towels and I didn't know what to do to help my little man expect hold him and love him. I think he maybe got 3 hours of sleep and Ryan and I maybe got 30 minutes. What a horrible feeling to feel so helpless as a parent. Friday morning (Christmas Eve) Aiden did not have much of an appetite and only drank 4oz from both of his morning bottle combined. We left for my parents for our family picture around 4pm... Aiden threw up all over his car seat during the drive (good thing I didn't have him in his Christmas outfit yet). We stopped at the gas station and I tried to clean some of it up. Ryan also started complaining that he didn't feel well either on our drive to my parents and I knew this could not be good... After our picture we decided to still go to our Christmas Eve destination (Ryan's aunts house) and Aiden was semi playful when we got there... Ryan slept on the couch for most of the night. We ate delicious food, watched everyone play minute to win it, sang 12 days of Christmas, and opened presents. Aiden was not awake for the presents since it was way past his bedtime. That night I went to bed around 3am, since I had to get everything ready for the morning, clean the car seat and take care of all the other damage that had been done that day...

Christmas Day- SANTA CAME :) (Aiden was definitely a good boy all year long)

Aiden and his presents

Harley wanted to go first, since he's the oldest and he wanted to show Aiden what to do!

Harley helping Aiden get the hang of things

Good job Aiden, rip the paper

Aiden playing with one of the many new toys!!! (Daddy's favorite- The Weeble Treehouse)
Daddy in his new Onesie PJ's (he wanted to have some like TO)
8:00am- Time to Run Around to begin!!! Off to Granny's House.
Aiden did not like having to leave his toys, but he got over it once we were in the car :(
We opened all of our gifts and Aiden got lots of kisses from Oscar while he was opening his presents. Auntie Megan got him a cool train to push around the house. Aiden loves showing people how to the honk the train horn! He also got a cool shape cookie jar from Granny and Gramps.
Aiden opening his big boy chair from Auntie Lindsay, Uncle John, and cousin Elena

Oscar wanted to help Aiden open the rest of his gifts!

10:00am- Christmas Day with my Family.
We always do a brunch on Christmas Morning (egg casserole, blintzes, fruit, ham, ect), then we open up our gifts as a family. After breakfast we started to pass out the gifts and I had a horrible feeling come over me... It was now my turn to be sick :(
We opened up all our presents, this years grab bag theme was As seen on TV, and we all got lots of great stuff!!! Santa is always good to each one of us :) Aiden enjoyed ripping the paper and watching everyone open their gifts as well. He gots lots of cool new things. Band instruments from Auntie Abby, Auntie Sarah, and Uncle Steve (my mom has the video of us in our own band), a wooden shape box from Auntie Jes and Uncle Justin, The Little People Animal Sounds Farm from Glamma and G-Mac and lots of other cool things too!!!

After all the excitement of opening presents, it was time for a NAP!!! Harley, Aiden and I all snuggled on the floor and slept for a good hour and a half (ok I continued to sleep the rest of the day, in between being sick and for the next two days)
Abby and Lacey join in on the Nap and Harley has second thoughts, since a couch probably opened up

Glamma shows off her new cooking Apron that Aiden got her! She and my dad made an amazing dinner (that I didn't get to eat) of Prime Rib, twice baked potato casserole, mandarin orange salad, and green bean casserole. Aiden loved the potatoes and Ryan devoured the prime rib (one of his favorites) Aiden loved spending time with Glamma, G-Mac, Daddy, Auntie Abby and especially Auntie Ashley since she was leaving on the 26th early in the morning to get back to OK for her deployment.

Steve is thinking we're all dead if he gets sick!!!

Now for the bad news.... My mom had to cancel our Christmas get together with her brothers and their families on the 26th, because of this disease. The sickness that Aiden started and is still getting over, with spread like wildfire throughout mine and Ryan's Family. Within 24- 36 hours, almost every person we had been in close contact with was sick with the VERY CONTAGIOUS norovirus or its also known as the Winter vomiting disease...
We are very sorry that we spread this horrible disease to all of you :( Despite being sick with this horrendous disease we had a extremely wonderful Christmas and we are so blessed to have such an amazing family to share these wonderful holidays with.
We love you all and hope you each have a safe and happy new year!!!
